City Academy Turns 10

City Academy marked its 10 year anniversary in 2010. A gala was held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, organized by City Academy parents, and community members, to celebrate this landmark in Utah Charter School History.

The event was held from 4:10 to 6:10. Hundreds of supporters attended and participated in fundraising activities in the form of raffles and silent auctions. Students from the Food Science Class created and served hors d’oeuvres throughout the festivities.

The program featured the Founding Mothers, student performers, City Academy Board Members, and Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon.

This historic occasion will be remembered as one that truly celebrated the successes of all who have helped the dream of City Academy be realized and stay alive!
